The Oakley Municipal Airport is located 2 miles Southeast of Oakley near Exit 76 on I-70. Runway 16-34 was rebuilt in 2009 and is 5,000 feet by 75 feet. The airport also offers a turf runway (8-26) that is 2,270 feet by 110 feet.
The Oakley Municipal Airport is equipped with an Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS) which can be accessed online.
Fueling, public phone, nearby dining and hotels, and courtesy car are available. After-hour fueling is available by calling 785-672-4111. There is now a Lounge at the Airport for pilots to use, contact the Airport Manager, Brian Nuesser, at 785-671-4621 for information.
The replacement of the PAPI Lighting System has just been completed. Future planed improvements include rehabilitate taxiways/taxilanes and additional taxiways which will be completed over the next several years.
