Butterfield Trail Museum

Southwest of Oakley, the town of Russell Springs preserves the rich history of the Butterfield Overland Despatch stagecoach line in this museum housed in an 1887 renaissance-style brick and stone structure which was the previous Logan County Courthouse. Many pioneer artifacts from the early settlers of the county are on display. The museum is open May through September. Visit the Butterfield Trail Museum website.

Logan House Hotel


In Russell Springs, visit or stay at the historical Logan House Hotel. The Logan House was built in 1887 to help establish the incorporated town of Russell Springs and to house the construction workers building the Logan County Courthouse.
