- In a landslide decision (nearly 80% voted in favor), the public voted
to add a .5% sales tax to pay for street improvements in the City of
Oakley. Look for work to begin about this time next year after we have
had time to accumulate funds!

- All of the hard work paid off, and it paid off
big time!! The City has been awarded $500,000 in Community Development
Block Grant funds by the Kansas Department of Commerce to help pay for our new waste water treatment plant!
