County Clerk

The County Clerk’s Office handles many administrative duties for Logan County. These duties include:

  • Acts as the Secretary to the Board of County Commissioners by scheduling meetings, preparing and distributing the agendas and recording and distributing official meeting minutes
  • Responsible for keeping official records of the Board of County Commissioners
  • Serves as the County Election Officer
  • County Policy & Procedures
  • Responsible for Human Resources
  • Administrator of County Payroll
  • Administrator of Accounts Payable
  • Prepares Logan County Budget
  • Review budgets for all County taxing entities
  • Calculate and set mill levies for all taxing entities
  • Swears in elected officials and various board members
  • Calculate Intangible Taxes
  • Certifies Tax Unit Boundary Maps
  • Issues Cereal Malt Beverage Liquor Licenses
  • Sell Kansas Wildlife and Parks permits
  • Maintains inventory for Logan County
  • Assist with Homestead Tax and Food Sales Tax filings
  • Assist Townships and Rec Commissions with budget preparations
  • Keeps Real Estate Ownership Records
  • Prepare and add special assessments/state assessed utilities to tax roll
  • Prepares tax roll for county
